Freddy Daruwala Embraces Fatherhood For The Second Time, Welcomes Baby Boy Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic
Actor Freddy Daruwala welcomed his second baby boy on September 15, 2020 with wife Crystal Variava
Actor Freddy Daruwala and wife Crystal Variava have once again embraced parenthood, the couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy on September 15, 2020. The Race 3 actor already has a son Evaan who is one and a half years old. The actor in conversation with Times of India shared just like the previous times, the couple learnt about expecting their second child in the second month of his wife’s pregnancy. The actor also expressed hoping for a daughter to experience the father-daughter bond, but after he held his newborn in his arms, these thoughts did not matter.
The actor said, “Like Evaan, we learnt about this pregnancy in the second month. We realised that we were pregnant in February and a nationwide lockdown was announced in March. After Evaan, I had wished for a daughter. One keeps hearing so much about the father-daughter bond that I had a desire to experience it. But when I held my baby, it simply did not matter whether he was a boy or a girl.” He also shared his second child being an unplanned child, but the best news in the year 2020.
He said, "Our second baby was definitely not planned, but for my family and me, this is the best news in 2020 so far. My son has completed the family.” The actor has also shortlisted two names, says, “I will share the two names with my family and will wait for a unanimous choice (smiles).”

The actor admits while he knows the drill now, excitement still remains the same. Also he further shared he and his wife are being calmer and matured now. He said, “Of course, we are better prepared and we already know the drill. The thrill is still unparalleled, but I guess both of us are a little more mature and calmer. I am still changing the diapers of my first baby (laughs!) and my second boy is already here.” But overall he is happy that his son now has a companion to grow with , “Also, Evaan will have a companion now. They will grow up together and that’s a beautiful feeling.”
In the month of May 2020, the actor's father was tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus which had left the family worried. As back then his wife was expecting and his elder son was barely a year old. He further shared moving with his family to Surat for better medical facilities at the end of July 2020.
